Does no one else think referring to yourself as "ninja" sounds like something you would do in early elementary school? Does no one else think everything that comes out of this guy's mouth reminds you of those "I'm so autistic" stories that get posted on 4chan? And if that's the case, cool, I'll cop to that, I didn't get it and still don't. Maybe the parody is just so good, maybe he's just so good at acting like he's taking himself way too seriously that it goes over my head. It just seems so trite and silly, is he serious or is he intentionally being a big giant parody? If he's intentionally spitting uninspired and boring lyrics to point out the short comings of modern hip-hop, though I wouldn't enjoy his music, I would at least respect his point of view. I want to start off by saying that I'm a big believer in the concept that music is an art form and art is subjective and just because I don't like something, that doesn't make it bad is just means it's not for me. Now I have some questions for their fans.
OK, I've been holding off from commenting on Die Antwoord for a while now because I wanted to try to understand before I passed judgement.
The last lines of the song says 'he fucked me in my ass'.ie she's the loser in the end because she's sucked into the life now and there's no happy ending. The American flag represents that gang culture started int he US and SA is importing the culture. These gangs prey upon disadvantaged poor girls. She's an orphan with no proper authority figure so she looks to gang culture to belong she thinks she's grown up despite the fact she's a child, and still acts like a child (eg peeing her pants, getting into fights). The song starts with a girl who romances with an obvious thug that's glorified in her eyes. A Youtube commenter puts it best:ĭie antwoord is zef ie trash, but this song has a deep meaning behind it. You can work out the story with a bit of inference or if you know a Germanic language, you can pick out words here and there. There is a lot more meaning to that Antwoord song than you think. I think at this point the original Hi Tek just stays back at home base and works on beats while Ninja and Yolandi are the faces of the whole thing, he prolly gets his cut and is content with that. so that seems to be why he is portrayed as different people, but they seem to have the same buff guy as Hi Tek on tour, I saw them in Ft Lauderdale a few years back and that guy that was in the videos and stuff was there.

however in some of their early interviews(cant get links now but they're on youtube) he is introduced as their neighbor with the "PC computer to make the beats" and im pretty sure that is him, but he very obviously has a lack of social skills and I think I remember them talking about him not liking to fly in the Taxi Cab one where they are free styling you can see him in the backseat almost covering his face and shying away from the camera. ive done a bunch research on them when I first found out about DA and that is how he is portrayed.
